Vacation Bible School

August 17, 18, and 19

5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

All children, from preschool through those entering grade 7, and their parents (or grandparents… aunts… uncles… friends) are invited to join us again this summer for Vacation Bible School – three evenings filled with fun and learning!  Activities begin with supper at 5:30 for children and adults, followed by a program that includes stories, songs, crafts, and games.  On Tuesday, August 17, Immanuel’s Session will join the children for supper and their opening program.

The theme for Vacation Bible School this year is “Neighbors Near and Far,” and will focus on Jesus’ story about the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37).  We will use this story to help us understand who our neighbors are – both here in Milwaukee and around the world – and how we can learn to be better neighbors to one another.  Vacation Bible School is a wonderful time to reconnect with members of the church family at summer’s end, as we all prepare to return to fall activities.  Information about Vacation Bible School has been mailed to families with children.  If you did not receive this information, and would like to participate, or if you have any questions, please contact Ms. Dow in the church office (414-276-4757).
